About 4,500 people are diagnosed with CML in the United States each year and over 20,000 people are estimated to be living with the disease.
CML, a cancer of the white blood cells usually occurs in adults over the age of 40. While there are about 20,000 people currently living with this disease, it is estimated that another 4,500 people in the United States with be diagnosed this year alone.
